UMERKHADI CHILDREN'S HOME

The home acts as an interim care and protection center for runaway, missing and abandoned children who are rescued by NGOs from railway station or street. It also houses children rescued from labour, beggary and trafficking. The age group covered is  12 – 18 years.

UMERKHADI OBSERVATION HOME

Every week, children in the batches of 10-15 work on the land along with the volunteers. They work with soil, they weed, they harvest, they laugh and have a lot of fun. This project is a way to channelize children’s energy and engage them in a constructive activity. This project has also become a way to focus on the process, where the kids get to connect with nature and tune into themselves.

DAVID SASSOON INDUSTRIAL HOME

The David Sassoon Industrial Home is a Special Home and a Children’s Home for boys from the age of 12 to 18.  This is a closed home where children study until the age of 18, after which they are transferred to an After Care. The home houses Children in Conflict with Law as well Children in Need of Care and Protection. Children are engaged in education and vocational training during the day.
